Thank you for sharing your views Lovinggems and Niel. Your opinions really support me in making an informed decision.
I also need to keep in mind that the Danburite is 11.014 mm.

I have also found this more simple design that I also love:

Yep you need to keep in mind with the bezel and an 11mm stone on your tiny fingers there is not going to be a lot of room for the ornate metalwork at the sides.....

Whahaha  so funny you refer to my hands as tiny: it's a healthy size 6 with giant knuckles. Still, I indeed need to keep the finger real estate in mind. Thank you for your recomendation.

Thanks Ricezo! As I see it now, I will choose for YG. I am also thinking about the following (if feasible and if it works with the width of the stone):

Congrats on getting this cool stone.

I prefer the ring with the simpler shank. I think it will put the focus on the stone itself. The twigs look very detailed but I don't know if you'll get a view of them when you wear the ring because the stone itself is so large.

Thank you Stone Hunter! I will indeed opt for a simple design. I only wonder whether the inner bezel should be round or that it should follow the shape of the stone which is 10 sided round.

You'll lose the interesting design of the stone if it's all rounded? Which is a shame. But depends on your preference though.

I agree Lovinggems! And so does the jeweller: he will indeed created a 'sculpted' 10 sided round inner bezel to highlight the beautiful shape of the stone.

UPDATE IN BLUE
Doug Menadue of Bespoke Gems has now finished the SG1 electric blue! I love both stones he cut for me. It will take a while before I can set them, but I am convinced the natural topaz Asscher will look stunning in the straight shank design with french cuts by David Klass. And the electric blue topaz in SG1 round design will look amazing in the twisted cushion halo Emilya by Victor Canera.

Dealing with Doug has been such a pleasure throughout the whole process! I enjoyed working with him. I can totally recommend contacting him.

Here are the stone specs:
#807, Natural Blue Topaz, Asscher Cut, 10.94x10.94x9.11mm, 8.32ct =
#812, Electric Blue Topaz, SG1, 10x10x7.5mm, 4.8ct

Thank you Mochiko. I can hardly wait for this stone to be set by Victor, but I need to be patient. What's on your list currently?

Aussiejamie: thank you for your kind words! I am so fond of blue: the color of the sea, the sky, a swimming pool etc. Unfortunately I have never see glacier ice caves in real life. I am looking forward seeing the stones on my finger.

I will not see the stones unset with my own eyes Sparkliesluver. The stones will be send to Victor and David and then the long long wait begins. Since all blues indeed are a good match with my skintone, I am confident that I love these after they are set.

Thank you Arkieb. It will at least be a good test in patience 8-)

Is it another case of big ratio of stone vs setting for the round electric blue topaz?

Thanks for sharing as it is a great looking stone.

Thank you for your kind words Stone Hunter. The electric blue will be set in a cushion halo Emilya (the 'twisted' version) by Victor Canera:

That's amazing Aussiejamie!!! Ice caves are now definitely on my list of things to see or do. Until that time, I will have the electric blue topaz to remind me of that. Thanks for sharing the spectacular photo.

Hi DK :wavey:
Both topaz rings fit it that category. Wish more of my rings could fit in the 'fabulous under 1250$ category.

AussieJamie where's that ice cave? It's fascinating.

Acinom your ring is incredible! I love the neon glowyness of the paraiba and the setting is perfection - I love the beautiful engraving and the proportions are perfect.

Have you received your other rings yet??
