UK-based auction house Dreweatts & Bloomsbury will be auctioning a selection of iconic jewels from renowned jewelers including Bulgari, Jean Schlumberger, and Seaman Schepps, in London on November 27.

Highlighting the sale is a turquoise and white enamel Bulgari Serpenti watch that is expected to fetch between $32,000 and $48,000. Bulgari introduced its serpent watches circa 1940, developing versions in different colored enamels and a variety of diamonds and colored gemstones. One of the style’s most notable owners, Elizabeth Taylor, was photographed wearing a Bulgari diamond and emerald Serpenti watch on the set of Cleopatra–a watch that ultimately sold at Christie’s on December 13, 2011, for a stunning $974,500.

In addition to the Bulgari watch, a 30-carat sapphire and diamond ring created by iconic French jeweler Jean Schlumberger is expected to fetch between $32,000 and $48,000. And a mid-century 71-carat aquamarine ring from New York jeweler Seaman Schepps is being offered with a selling estimate of $8,000-$13,000. The aquamarine ring is accompanied by the original bill of sale dated 1949.

Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions’ Fine Jewellery sale will be held at the company’s saleroom in London’s Mayfair location. The full catalogue will be available to download at www.dreweatts.com.
