Would you get married in a "haunted" building?

I was just telling my youngest about serving drinks during the ceremony, and he asked me if I''d seen this Budlight commercial. I had not.

Gotta get on to the good stuff!!

I can understand not having a drink during the ceremony - does seem a bit tacky or out of place - but hope you enjoyed one or two at the reception!

Because she''d be alone in the stall. Plus, she might see a something in the mirror. I''ve had these thoughts before, ok?

I can''t even pass by streets where a house is supposedly haunted let alone hang out in one for 5 hours LOL

I LOVE LOVE LOVE stories of hauntings and ghosts and all that. I''m not quite sure how much of it I believe, but that being said, it would probably depend on the nature of the haunting. Firendly ghosts would be fun to have around, but if there were really gruesome stories of torture and murder or anything demonic, then NO FREAKIN'' WAY! That stuff disturbs me!

I''m sure most ghost stories are not real, but the house I grew up in definitely had a "presence." Maybe many different ones. A lot of weird things happened there.

Kelly, yeah, I have definitely had "encounters", but most were of what I feel were family, or at least "friendly".

We left the reception early, both of us were tired. The bride just shot me a pic that was taken at the end of the evening. They look a little tired too.

Kiefer Sutherland plays a cop who is on leave because he had to kill someone in the line of duty and was having trouble with it psychologically. He was on anti-anxiety meds, anti-depressants, etc. Due to the fall-out from that incident, he and his wife split up. She stayed in the home with their two children (a boy and a girl), and he moved in with his sister.

Kiefer took a job as a night watchman at an old department store that had caught fire many years before. Evidently, a large number of people died in that fire. Some parts of the store were still relatively intact, and much of it was decorated with these ornate mirrors (not to mention the mirrors in the dressing rooms, employee locker rooms, etc.). Well, it wasn''t too long until Kiefer started seeing "things" in the mirrors! Mainly, he saw scenes from the fire. Also, he heard people screaming, even though he was alone in the building. All kinds of fun stuff like that. But the really awful part was when one of the characters in the movie (Kiefer or his son or his sister, for example) would be looking at their reflection in the mirror, and then they would walk away from the mirror . . . but the reflection stayed! And started doing evil things!
23.gif

The cool part is, the movie had a kind of "surprise ending" . . . a little bit similar to the Sixth Sense, if you''ve ever seen that one.

DEFINITELY not a movie you want to rent and watch while you''re alone in the house at night!!!

If it''s like the Sixth Sense, I''m not watching it. The Sixth Sense haunted me for months.

As much as I love scary movies, haunted houses (the kind that are for entertainment around this time of year) and Halloween, I would not knowingly get married in a haunted facility. And if I were a guest at such an event, I would have a partner in tow whenever I visited the ''ladies''!

I do not mind a benevolent spirit, but if someone was murdered there I would NOT. However, how does one really know anyway? Unless there is a legend about the place.

The place that we got married has a B&B upstairs and over the years (the building is real old) guests have said they have seen a figure of a well-dressed, gray-haired woman on the stairs. It''s probably a woman who was member of a women''s club that used to associate there in the 1800''s. Since were married on Halloween, one of my friends though maybe we''d see her, but didn''t see anything unusual.

Most of the places around here do have a story, but I can't seem to find anything on this specific building...
