Almost everyone I know is vaccinated. The few who are not have legitimate concerns about the vaccines. They are not unvaccinated to make a political statement. In fact, one of the biggest Trump supporters I know was one of the first to be vaccinated. According to him there would be no vaccines without operation warp speed.

On a personal note, I've been concerned about being vaccinated myself because of health issues, reactions, etc. I had an appointment today, and the doctor agreed that I have a right to be concerned. WE ALL have a right to be concerned. Although rare, there are people who have issues with the vaccine, even healthy individuals. I really wish people would stop assuming they know what a person thinks, or who they are at their core, based on their vaccine status. I believe people can disagree and coexist.

I recently dealt with the family of someone who died at 86. The family swore it was because of the vaccine. Never mind that the person hadn't been to a doctor in almost 10 years. They wanted to know how they could prove the vaccine killed them. :wall: Apparently, the person "was so healthy!" Yeah...except they weren't. Now, none of them will ever get vaccinated, and some of them have a lot of public interaction in their jobs.

I think many people will wait for an updated version 2.0 vaccine before they take their 3rd shot.

I’ve had my third shot. My DNA stayed the same and I can’t find the micro chip. It also did not make me liberal. So now your excuse is to wait for a new version?

I think you have been very wise to take your concerns to your doctor
i have no problem being part of the herd to help protect you if the covid vacine(s) isnt a good option for you

Stay safe, we still have a long way to go

I am booked in to get mine in September

Admitably we do not live in the same part of the world but this is a global pandemic and it has effected everyone in one way or another

Thank you! I'm not sure exactly what changed, but now most of my doctors told me to get vaccinated. The doctor I spoke with today told me if I don't do well with the first vaccine to skip the second dose. I'm scheduled for Friday, and hoping and praying it will go well.

I hope you and your family stay safe and healthy.

Perhaps they don't feel they need to be as cautious as before because there is now more of "track record" for both vaccines as it's been months since the vaccines were first rolled out?

Will be thinking of you on Friday with the hope you sail through as easily as I did! Click on the link below to see the tip I passed along last month ;))

I'm a nurse and it boggles my mind how many colleagues are anti-vacc. It really makes me wonder how and why they got into nursing.

It is so weird, I must say. Docs are like 96% vaccinated -- but for almost everyone else in healthcare it's like Walmart. I expected better from RNs, especially.

But, then again, I think similar numbers could be quoted for smoking.

Good luck @Diamond Girl 21. I hope the first dose goes smoothly for you. I just woke up but I did share an article a while back (days? weeks?) that if someone has a bad reaction to the first dose most of them are fine to get the second dose...if I can find it later I will share it here for you. Fingers crossed you do well and there are no surprises.

Not really. Being unvaxxed for covid has become a personality trait to these people. Getting the vaccine means losing part of their identity and admitting they were wrong. They'd rather die...literally.

Goal post has already been moved. Below is a direct quote from one of the antivax vocal Facebook 'experts'!

These are three screenshots from this <https://www.fda.gov/media/150386/download> 13-page U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) letter, and these blue highlighted sections show that the FDA re-issued Pfizer’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

In other words the FDA granted Pfizer a continuation —in the form of a re-issuance— of Pfizer’s already existed EUA.

So all these “Full FDA approval of Pfizer vaccine ‘a key milestone,’ Biden says” (The Washington Post); “US FDA approves first Covid-19 vaccine” (CNN); “FDA’s approval of Pfizer vaccine already paving the way for mandates” (Yahoo/finance); “Biden urges businesses mandate COVID-19 vaccine following full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech shot” (FOX/BUSINESS) headlines, and many more mainstream media headlines are not true!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is fake news —FAKE NEWS!

Doubtful. The people who are anti-vax will say that having to be vaccinated infringes on their rights, just like having to wear a mask. Thus it doesn't matter if it's proven to be safe. (And we all know the vaccine is just a socialist tool, right?)

I was at a hospital once, waiting with a family for a nephrologist. A disheveled man reeking of smoke walks in - the nephrologist. :wall:

Regarding RNs and vaccines, DD (the RN) continuously responds to my comments with, "I don't know why you think all nurses are smart!"

Will full FDA approval change anything?

I do know a couple of people who said they will get the vaccine after FDA approval. I don't think approval will change many minds, but it is changing some.

Something else changing some people's minds is vaccinations affecting their businesses. I know a man who lost a three thousand dollar charter, because the folks cancelled when they asked if he was vaccinated and he admitted he was not. He had his first shot today, because he said he doesn't want to lose anymore business.

So one person said she will not get Pfizer bc it’s FdA approved—which clearly means the government is promoting it and thus, the one to stay away from
