You know, stuff that just seems weird...despite being oddly cool. Like this.
No, I''ve never had to use the loo with A in tow while wearing her.Date: 12/7/2009 12:38:23 PM

Really you never had to use the loo with A in tow.
It doesn''t happen too often when I am out with M by myself for a long period of time. But for the couple times that I was, I use the handicapped stall or family restroom (if available) and leave M in the stroller. Oh and some places have a toddler seat installed on the stall door, like Ikea. Last time when we were at the Lakers game, I just had M stand in the stall with me and surprisingly she stood still.
I always thought the Pee-Pee Teepees were weird, even though I see the need to cover the boy part when diaper changing.

I have used the loo many, many times with George in a baby carrier of some sort. They only cover my torso and not my pants, and so there''s really no problem.

Everyone else IRL thinks my Baby Legs are weird, but they''re really the best things ever.
You need to use the handicapped stall. The other option that I''m seeing more places now (malls, airports) are "family restrooms" - it''s basically like just a regular bathroom - only one person at a time (no stalls) but it''s usually a large room (big enough for a stroller) and they usually have changing tables in them. So you can use the bathroom, and change your baby.Date: 12/7/2009 12:40:44 PM

Wow! I have a legitimate question now - how do moms wrangle their babies when they''re going to the restroom? If you have a stroller and there are stalls, how do you safeguard your child while you go to the loo? Strollers usually don''t fit in the stalls... do you use the handicapped stall? But what if handicapped individuals need that stall?
I''m over-thinking this, but... how?I''d be too scared not to bring the baby inside with me.
ETA: Aha! qtiekiki comes to the rescue with the answer! Thanks!!!
Yep! They''re great around the house if you''re super-lazy like me, because it''s one less thing to remove for diaper changes. I also like keeping a pair in the diaper bag just in case, because they take up practically no space and because he can''t outgrow them. When I kept pants in the diaper bag, they''d inevitably be way too small for him by the time that we actually needed to use them, which kind of defeated the purpose. Oh, and they don''t ride up like pants do, which is great if you''re going to have them in a baby carrier. And you can layer them with pants in the winter if you need a little extra warmth.Date: 12/7/2009 1:55:51 PM

I had to look up Baby Legs to see what they were - leg warmer type things, right? Lol I think they are cute!
I actually kind of like the baby carrier that straps to a stall door, but I imagine if you are handy you could do that with any baby carrier lol.
Ditto! I got two of these as gifts and I was like...huh? Never used them!Date: 12/7/2009 3:23:03 PM

I leave DD in her stroller and use the handicap stall if she is in her stroller at the time. Or some places have family bathrooms that are really big. I did have to take her in the airplane bathroom once. THAT was awkward but can be done w/o setting the baby down (this was probably a year ago). Instinct surprisingly takes over in situation like those.
Okay, this item isn''t strange but in baby form I think they are weird and that is baby bathrobes. I mean what newborn is just lounging around after a bath? Useless. Same with baby slippers. Socks work just fine.

Actually, now that I think about it...I've never had to use the loo with her while out and about alone, so I guess you are right? Probably because I'm always home for her naps so we are not out for long periods at a time. If someone's around with me, I'll use the restroom, but not if I am alone with her.
Hm, never thought about it!
OK, as a mother and frequent business traveler, I say, no - absolutely NOT!Date: 12/7/2009 7:57:30 PM

OK, I can''t decide if this one is weird or would actually be useful. I saw it in the Skymall magazine (go figure) and had to file it away for future reference:
