Great thread Skippy!

I love most any kind of dessert as long as it doesn''t have rasins (bleck

)!

Apple pie with fresh (not canned) whipped cream and french vanilla ice cream.
Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing.
Crepes with lemon curd and powdered sugar.
Carrot cake.
Gold Medal Ribbon ice cream from 31 flavors.
Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
Snickerdoodles.
Gingersnaps.
Sugar cookies with lots of icing.
Gingerbread with fresh whipped cream.
I recently had a tequilla flan at a local restaurant. It was fantastic!
SEE''S CANDY!!! In particular, Milk Chocolate Buttercreams and Lemon Buttercreams.

I''m sure I''ll think of others.

Is SEE'S candy local to CA?? Have looked for it around here, but have never seen it. It's been mentioned on PS a lot, so am guessing it's really yummy.

Oh Kaleigh! Come to CA and have some. It is better than Godiva or any other chocolate you have ever had. They are coming out with a special dark bar. Isn''t it you that likes the strong stuff?

I know there are a few places you can get it other than CA. It is inside Dulles, but, the selection isn''t too great according to my BIL and DiamondFan.

Oh Miranda, very tempting indeed!! Diamondfan tried to bring me back some salt water taffy from the shore, and I told her NO!! She''s been holding out on the SEE''S. I knew it was good. Strong stuff?? Not sure about that, but dark chocolate rules!!!

Bad timing for this thread b/c I am craving chocolate!!!!

For me, my grama''s chocolate cake. It is sooooooooooo good and has a chocolate glaze drizzled on top. We''re having it at the rehearsal dinner and I can almost taste it now!

Other than that, their double chocolate chip cookies are also fantastic.
I love Creme Brule and good Banana Cream Pie too. Yum!

Dixie...my trick to chocolate craving it to brush my teeth. You realize you wouldn''t want to ruin the taste of chocolate with that toothpaste mint flavor lingering. Try it ...you have nothing to loose....but your craving.

ha ha you mean i actually have to choose?? i love sweet things. period.

but i'll do top 10 desserts too. oh and sees is the BEST...i actually don't even like godiva, i would save myself for sees everytime. you can order it online as well. my fave sees are the raspberry cream and truffle, divinity, bordeaux, rum nougat, any of the chocolate covered nuts and caramels with nuts and chocolate, and the dark coconut.

--pecan pie (or even better, double chocolate pecan pie which i just had recently, omg!)
--chocolate bread pudding or bread pudding with caramel bourbon sauce
--chocolate mousse, dark or white!
--oreo cookie dessert at this fab local place, all homemade: vanilla ice cream sandwiched in between oreo crumb cookies, drizzled liberally with bittersweet chocolate and topped real whipped cream. i dream about this.
--lemon tart with real whipped cream
--chocolate layer cake
--bittersweet chocolate souffle or flourless chocolate cake
--fried bananas with mango ice cream and drizzled with bittersweet chocolate
--gelato or very rich ice cream (especially tiramisu or coffee flavored)
--tiramisu, as authentic as possible!
--fresh peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream (okay it's 11th..!)

but really put a tasty sweet thing in front of me and i will eat it. non 'dessert' items that i LOVE are donuts, cupcakes, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, chocolate croissant, truffles, sees. see i have a whole different 'category' for things that i don't consider DESSERT. hee. mmmm yummy!!

I love cobbler, peach, blueberry, apricot...with fresh whipped cream

I love moist carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

I love devils food cake with buttercream icing or german chocolate cake

I love brownies and blondies

most ice cream, though just chocolate and vanilla do not do it for me, and I love toppings like butterscotch, marshmallow, nuts, hot fudge, caramel, fresh whipped cream...

I love fresh fruit with home made whipped cream

baked alaska/meringue is a favorite of mine, with caramel drizzled on top

creme brulee is good if the shell is hard

good tiramisu is great

chocolate cream, coconut cream, apple crumb, peach/blueberry or key lime pie

THIS IS NOT HELPING MY DIET!

Ice creams- Brigham''s chocolate chip (local), Ben &Jerry''s vanilla and Coldstone''s Mint with fudge mix-in

Desserts- Molten chocolate cake( from Finale, a local dessert restaurant), chocolate orgasms(no lie this is what they are called, from another local candy store, can''t think of the name) and a well, well, well made tiramisu(can''t be soggy or mushy)

Also, the massive hot fudge sundae I had at the Ghiradelli ice cream shop in San Fran. It was almost better than you-know-what.

Kaliegh,
where do you buy chocolate tater chips??? Hmmm sounds yummy!

Miranda,
I agree w/you, See's tastes better than Godiva. Isn't Godiva owned by Nestle or something like that??

Aw man, this is hard:

--chocolate mousse
--really good American-style chocolate birthday cake with chocolate-y icing
--triple chocolate chocolate chip cookies
--strawberry rhubarb pie
--chocolate covered strawberries
--dark chocolate fudge
--gooey warm brownies with whipped cream
--bananas foster

Of all of those, my favorite...hmmmm....
Maybe the warm triple chocolate chocolate chip cookies with a glass of cold milk.

For truffles there's a store in the Ferry Terminal in San Francisco that makes the BEST chocolate in the world. Seriously. I can't remember the name of the company, but they are pretty pricey and oh-so-good.
