Thanks for the tip. This wasn’t a spam email. Nor was it a phishing email. I wasn’t asked for any info, and the original email absolutely came from Google My Business. Subsequently I got in touch with Google My Business( the real one). A spam or phishing email couldn’t have gotten my google maps listing taken down.
It also kinda sucks that even people who ostensibly know us well confuse us with a competitor that happens to have the name Lauren in their name...but I digress.....

It appears that our google business page lacked the suite #
Since corrected and hopefully this will be a memory soon

I can’t thank everyone enough for the support.
I’m hoping our ranking returns .....before as soon as you started typing “diamondsb” it would auto fill.
The rep told me to check again in 24-48 hours.
Someone was warning about answering emails ..... and it is an important point.
etsy, eBay, and pretty much all places that you can open a web store on will require answering emails.... so learning to distinguish between phishing and real emails is something to be aware of. Hint- if the email asks for you SS# date of birth etc your spidey sense should tingle
