Hello!

I've been lurking for about a month, and figured it was time to join the list! My bf and I have been together for 3.5 years, and have been talking about marriage for a while... but just recently we've been talking diamonds and budget, and yesterday, he actually took me into a jewelry store and had me try on some rings! I anticipate that I'll be on the list for a while, since he's just recently told me that he's started saving up! so I'm in no hurry to get off the list, hehe.

I'll post an actual intro in a few minutes!

Sorry I have been a little absent from the boards lately. BF's brother unexpectedly passed away last Monday. It has been very difficult for both of us as well as all of his family. His brother was only 31. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as the healing process for this will be a long one.

Thank you all again for your support during this time. It's going to take a while and it has definitely put our engagement on hold. I may make a separate post some time this week to just vent all these feelings.

Grlsbestfrnd, I feel like the activity on LIW definitely comes in waves. Sometimes it's super active and sometimes it's slow. I will try to find a fun survey or maybe an update thread to hear from everyone this week.
