I am trying and trying to load some pics of my 50th birthday present from my husband - a .85ct fancy yellow VVS2 pear ring ... I am new to this so if this appears about 70 times, you know why!! The centre stone came from Diamonds by Lauren. Setting - not sure where he got the inspiration from but he had it handmade in Singapore (where we live). It's a bling ring - that's for sure. I love it. Hope you do too.

Sorry don't have a lot of pics at this time. Just got engaged last weekend.

Specs - 2.25 ct Princes of Hearts, Canadian Diamond, Hearts & Arrows Ideal, AGS Ideal 000, H, VS2 (VVS2 on GIA Cert), Crown Angle 35.0, Pavilion 40.8, Crown % 13.3. Size across from clipped corners 7.36 mm, size across sides 8.58 mm. Faces up very white and is really firey.

Thanks MC. My mom and dad have excellent taste in jewelry. They got engaged and married (1963) without an ER since my dad had no money as he was just starting out. But a year later he insisted on buying her this ER. First and last ER for them. Wish I could be like that!

It's usually my dad's idea to purchase jewelry. In the 70's he bought my mom an unbelievable Canary diamond that she insisted on returning because it was so expensive. But then he got her the Cartier black opal ring that she ended up keeping that they gave me 30 plus years later. My dad appreciates beautiful gemstones and jewelry. He even made some gold pieces himself and gave them to my mom.

He's a retired dentist and is very creative. He hasn't made anything for a long time though unfortunately.

Original ring setting was too high for me and so a custom one had to be re-molded for 3.5 size. Happy holidays all, and thanks to all for the many threads, pictures and posts here that helped keep my patience in check while the 3 longest weeks had to pass for the final and complete piece.
