2,659,118 have died from Covid 19.

During a pandemic of airborne virus public health takes priority.
Masks help reduce transmission of airborne virus.

Good!

Expecting her to obey the law is, as she puts it, "violating her civil rights"?
Really?

Nice try, and  Psssssssssh!

I think businesses and more importantly their workers have the right to protect themselves (and their other customers).

Good that US is finally getting serious about mask wearing. I saw the Uber driver video and those women are ridiculous.

But, what are these folks thinking?
Facts are facts.
Do they also run red lights because they violate their civil rights to move freely?
Same thing - "I have a right to do what's good for me, and Fk everyone else."
I refuse to respect this "diversity".

What has happened to people?
Why have so many brains failed their hosts?

I wouldn't care, but by helping to spread the virus, or by running red lights, they are endangering MY life. :angryfire:

IMO these anti-social criminals belong in jail.

They're not, other than to worship their own id. Yes, many live their entire lives satisfying nothing more than their base instinct for gratification. This is just one of those times it is laid bare with alarming frequency and dire outcome. Nothing other than stakes being raised for the rest of us has changed. Civilization erodes when this is allowed to run amok. That's why we'll just have to keep applying the law/social disgust and be unrelenting about it. Tangible consequences. It's the only recourse.
It's reprehensible, to be sure. It is also sadly, unsurprising. Let's make sure it's always swift and immediate that this won't fly.

not true, she was arrested for trespass for not leaving when asked to by a bank employee and then a police officer.
Which she 100% deserved.

I have seen people arrested for the same thing for violating a no shirt, no shoes no service policy. When asked to leave they were jerks about it and got arrested for trespass.

Of course you're right.
But come on the elephant in this room is masks, not shoes or shirts and everyone knows it.

Mask is a mandate not a law. Yes, they’re jerks for making a big deal out of it - they should leave if they do not wish to adhere to the rules. To be honest, I’m done with being told to wear my “muzzle”. However, I’m not a big as...... and wouldn’t make a scene, just walk away.

I am amazed that there are this many stupid people in the world...they actually think they don't have to comply with the rules! They all think they went to law school...telling cops they have no right to touch them or arrest the. GAH!! Make them go away...please!

People never cease to amaze me.

Is it so hard to wear a mask if you go into a business that mandates a mask has to be worn?

It is up to the individual business to make the rules they see appropriate to keep everyone who works there and their customers safe.

If you don't want to follow their rules GTFO of their establishment.

NO ONE and I mean no one, is above the rules.

And again, why I prefer animals over most people.

OMG I agree . JAIL is where these people belong. And for a nice long stretch. Who the F do they think they are? IMO this is assault on that poor driver. Pure and simple assault.

And, to go a step further, if the driver got sick with Covid 19 they should be charged with attempted murder and g-d forbid he dies, they should go to jail for the rest of their life.

Hi @Queenie60 I did a lot of reading about this when I saw that people were defying mandates without legal consequences. It was confusing to me as I couldn't understand the difference between state suggestions, strong suggestions, mandates, and orders. So I went down the rabbit hole of google...

Mandates are very similar to laws in that they are legally enforceable. They differ in that they come from a different avenue of government though. And just like laws, they aren't always enforced. But the point is, they could be, if the governor or whoever issued the mandate decides to. The power to issue these rules/laws/mandates/orders is already granted to the governing body, so it is all legal and above board.

I don't know why the judicial system isn't coming down on those who do not adhere to these requirements. Because it DOES create the impression that it is optional. It creates confusion. Where there should be none. It seems that the only time there are any consequences is when a private company's rules and terms of service are violated.

I find it all so odd. I hate my mask. I work in one for 10+ hours a day. But wear it dilligently. If it means restaurants can reopen and vacations can become a thing again, I am happy to triple mask if I have to. It's got me investing in more chewing gum and less lipstick!

Fine, go ahead and spread the virus.
Thanks a lot for increasing my odds of dying from C19.

The odds of you contracting the virus becomes less and less as each day goes by since millions are being vaccinated.

I thought Texas removed the mask mandate (which i think is crazy) so why were they arrested?

There isn’t a mandate, but as always a business can choose not to serve someone who isn’t adhering to their rules. Like a no shoes no shirt no service thing.

They asked her to wear a mask and she threw a public tantrum. She wouldn’t leave. At that point it becomes criminal.

This made me laugh, I bought 3 new Besame lipsticks last month. I normally don't wear lipstick and double mask outside the house, but I couldn't resist the Mary Poppins collection.

No Duh!
True, of course.

But if that's your best argument for not wearing a mask ... I don't know what to say. :nono:

Most houses will not be robbed ... so we shouldn't bother locking our doors and windows?

I'm not into gambling the odds so I can breath a little more easily while welcoming the virus into my body.
I'm into improving my odds of surviving.

Oh c'mon @kenny you know these anti-maskers are convinced they're sticking it to the libs by not masking up. They're reveling in their disobedience. Masks = socialism and the end of the American way after all.

I know.
In their minds only faggot liberal atheists are wimpy and wussy enough to die from a tiny microscopic virus.

So Imma just say it; I don't disagree with @Queenie60 because I'm sick of wearing the damn things myself.

However I do when I must. I'm in FL and the mask mandates have no teeth down here at all. And even though I'm vaccinated, I'll wear the damn thing because its the right thing to do, not because I'm in love with them.

Down here, they'll get you for tresspassing instead, which will carry a lot more weight than any so called "mandate".
