So what songs get you every time? Right now I''m listening to "Music of the Night" and I think it is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The lyrics, the voice of Michael Crawford, the orchestra behind him all combine to make a magnificent song.

I know I have many others, but this song holds such a special place in my heart! Share yours!!

This is even more difficult than choosing favorite movies.

I have sooooooo many. I''m not listening to anything right now, but in my car, I have a 6-disc player and the current selection is:

1) A custom blend of "pick me up" from Sade to Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas to Annie Lennox to Jewel. An eclectic mix.

2) Mariah Carey-Emancipation of Mimi

3) Matchbox 20

4) Alicia Keys

5) Joss Stone

6) Mariah Carey E=MC2

I guess I have been in a real female R&B mood lately.[/i]

Anything by Marc Anthony. I love him beyond words even if he does look like skeletor

Some of the "really gets to me" English songs by Mark:

My Baby You
You sang to me
How could I
Don't Let me Leave

And pretty much every spanish song he has LOL. I love him.

And the one that will make me cry every time is My eyes adore you by Valli Frankie. My dad used to sing that to my mom all the time.

These Days by Bon Jovi really moves me. It reminds me of a certain time in my life where everything was upside down and I was really sad. I don''t listen to it and think bad things... I just listen and think of how I am in such a better place now.

Home - Michael Buble ("Another winter day/has come and gone away/in either Paris or Rome/and I want to go home/Please let me go home")

My Little Girl - Tim McGraw ("Sometimes you're asleep I whisper 'I love you'/in the moonlight at your door/as I walk away, I hear you say/'Daddy, love you more'"...Okay, I'm tearing up just typing that! My Dad called me after he heard this song the first time and made me download it off of iTunes and listen to it)

The Lighthouse's Tale and The Hand Song -Nickel Creek (two separate songs...one is about the relationship between a lighthouse and its keeper, the other is about a boy and family/religion/friends)

I love that song too! It sometimes makes me cry.

Others that move me:

"She''s Got A Way" - Billy Joel

"My Girl" - Otis Redding (My Dad''s a musician and he always plays this song in honor of my sisters and I at gigs--awwww)

"The Book of Love" - The Magnetic Fields (Kris always slow dances with me around the house to this)

"Tell Her This" - Del Amitri

"Staralfur" - Sigur Ros

Also, the end of RENT always gets me choked up, even if I''m just listening to the soundtrack.

LOL--that song always reminds me of being a teenager. When I was in a band, we used to do a rock cover of it, which was super fun.

I was married just last Saturday, and of course "our" song is very touching to me... "Amazed" by Lonestar. And then I made everyone (and I mean everyone) cry with Heartland''s "I loved her first" for the father/daughter dance.

I was! Actually, the quote in my signature is from one of our songs. There is a picture of us rocking out on page 2 of my Who''s Who thread. I bet you would be awesome in a rock band--or at least you could pretend with your grandsons. I bet they''d love that!
