This is a nice, budget friendly medium purplish/pinkish spinel. 2 carats and a well cut round which is not common.

6.9mm (faces up a bit small)
Colour description is "Medium Red-Purple Or Purple-Red [Pink]"
Eye clean to slightly included according to the vendor, but I think it's eye clean based on the image
Tanzania
about $225

For those in Europe (for anybody really), take a look at these! Found these in the Fine Faceted Gems and Cabs group on FB. I *think* this is a new cutter named Johannes Orstadius. He shows great promise and he is selling his stones at bargain prices - at least temporarily. Here is what he wrote about these ORANGE spessartites:

"Eye clean spessartines with careful, high-polish brilliant cutting, three are quite precisely 6.50mm, while the other two are 6.43 and 6.40. $155/carat or $194 per stone, based on avg 1.25ct/pc. Alternatively $790 total for the total 6.30cts. Prices firm, unable to accept offers. Want an untreated orange gem with top quality, top cutting and top color, and even suitable for a calibrated setting? You may also choose your hue: There are two fanta, one pure orange and two reddish orange."

He says second picture is better for color accuracy.

I'm not a huge peridot person, but I'm liking some of the ones that were listed on Gemfix recently. I like 706 and 702.

Wow. That image does look enhanced but I hope it isn't. I'm a fan of good preidot, personally. It was one of the first gems I took interest in.

That is some great spess. I like the second from the top the most.

Ditto this! They would be amazing in a drop pendant in yellow gold.

Wow, it looks radioactive on here. I went over to Gemfix to have a look and it looks less saturated on their website.

It was posted on gemfixs website as a JPG. it was posted here as a PNG. That does affect the color.

http://pantonecolors.org/pantone-368.php Thats a good representation of the color on gemfix website. I saw the other color they mentioned which I can also see but not as much as this one.

Live and learn (not that I even know what a PNG file is). Thanks, Arcadian.

Okay, another one for consideration. Jason Brim has this spinel for sale: $475 for a 1.68ct Vietnamese spinel, eye clean to flawless, 6.65x6.65mm, precision cut by Eric Normand.

I got a mail drop from Uli of Osirisgems today, and had to refrain from buying anything as I recently had to pay out a small fortune to repair my boiler. Otherwise I would have bought the larger of the two smokey quartz in the Liquid Flower design:

http://www.osirisgems.com/milnagems.html

The one that I really like, is the Extreme Pink Sapphire in Liquid Flower design    (it's a synthetic stone btw), and it has been sold already, and I hope it has gone to a good home, as it is lovely.

DK :))

I think this is an awesome deal on a nice +2ct. blue Sapphire with an AIGS report.

Does the lab report state if its been LIBS tested though? I'm not sure if AIGS has the ability to test for diffusion these days, and "heated" can mean many different things. I would prefer a better lab report.

Ah, that zircon is quite something Arcadian
The price is quite steep though for a zircon?

A little? Maybe. 10+ct zircons I've been seeing in the 2-3K range aren't usually this bright, well cut, or sparkle like this. I'm sure it was likely bigger, and they recut it.
