*I don't know which metaphor is more apt, since it would be middle ground between the two I have now: depends if we go by fairy tale or strict size, I suppose!

Yanno, my dh and I do this. A number of years ago we decided that we needed another gift occasion because there were so many months b/w the holidays and the next occasion so we started celebrating cinco de mayo. No reason you couldn't celebrate a day that you never did before...Here's a list of Aug 16th holidays that I've never heard of. My favorite in this list is rum day but lots of choices. :cheeky:

I was about to ask how these are currently set since I couldn't quite figure out how they look like they are floating...then I clicked on the link. duh. thick bezels that cover up the entire stone!!! such a pity. I think they'd make for a great eternity but wouldn't that be kind of an expensive recycling project?

Yes expensive. If it was under $1k I would have just bought it! :) sure would be gorgeous though. A rosecut eternity has been on my dream list for some time.
