I've been wanting a ring to wear on my index (pointer) finger for a little while now. I wanted something simple that I could wear everyday and came across this double band ring. I"ve got to say, I kinda love it. It's simple, lightweight and easy to wear. I have a thin wedding band on my left hand that never comes off and I'll be wearing this one on my right hand. I've included a picture of it one my left hand too and I like the look so I may be switching it up.

When I was searching for ideas, I didn't see much out there on this so I thought I'd start a thread. Show me the rings you wear on your index / pointer finger! Do you wear it everyday or only for special occasions. Would love to hear!

Here are a few. They are for occasional wear. If a ring is size 9, it can go on my thumb, index, or middle fingers. Size 7.5 can go on my index finger or my right hand ring finger if I add a tight spacer. Point being that it can be easy to justify the cost of index finger rings by versatility. :)

(The last one is lab, if anyone cares.)

Thank you for sharing @oncrutchesrightnow! They are all so beautiful. I'm especially loving the first diamond/ruby twist ring and the last bezel ring. Actually, i went back and too a look and I love them all! Haha, versatility is definitely a good reason to justify bling! I'm new to wearing rings on other fingers but I'm already dreaming of adding different options down the line!

It's funny, I am currently shopping for one! I hope to post it here soon!

yes, please comeback and share! Looking forward to seeing what you decide on! would it be for everyday or occasional use?

the plan would be for everyday but then... I plan to wear my bracelets and watch every day and walk out the door and forget to put them on... LOL!!

I find it very comfortable to wear a ring in my index finger! My middle finger and index are the same size on both hands, so like @oncrutchesrightnow said, there’s good bang for the buck in rings for those fingers for me.

I only have one right now, my 4ct star sapphire. It is a more substantial ring for me so only wear it to work when I know I’m not using my hands much. I baby my rings.

I just got this emerald band from a PSer on LT and it turns out I can wear a 7.75 on my thumb, index, and middle finger on both hands. Talk about versatility! My index finger is the only one that has some 'squish' rather than being limited by the knuckle, so I can also wear a 7 there which is close enough to my 6.75 ring finger that the same piece would work in both places if I remove the telephone cord sizer I use to prevent spinning on my ring finger. The idea of wearing multiple rings is new to me, but here's how two of my rings look on the index finger in two combos. Please excuse the short and unpolished nails!

I'm planning to have a snake ring made with a small jedi spinel in a size 7.75 for the same index + middle versatility.

@Dreamer_D Wow- what a gorgeous color on that sapphire! Looks so great on your index finger!

@newtojewels - love those rings! especially the emerald band :kiss2: I'm new to wearing rings on multiple fingers as well. I previously only wore them on my ring fingers, but recently I've been digging the multiple finger look.

@Ibrakeforpossums couldn't agree more!

HI:

I have two large rings:

cheers--Sharon

I love wearing rings on my index finger. Currently I'm looking for a diamond eternity band for everyday (like up to a carat), but it's hard to find a preloved one in size 9. Dang you Texas heat!
Here are some I wear occasionally.

Beautiful! I especially love that second turquoise one!

Thank you! That is two separate rings that I just recently started stacking. One I got at an art fair in Montana a few years ago, the other from a small shop in Marfa this past spring. I thought they looked fun stacked together.
Edit: I might have read that wrong. The second picture has a turquoise ring I found on Ebay. It was just the right shade of turquoise for me

my thumb, index and middle finger are fairly similar although if anything the thumbs are slightly thinner

i got my ring sizer out and was disgusted at the huge size i needed and i hope ive allowed enough with the wider band, im hoping its a nice orange

Don't be disgusted at the size! It is what it is and your ring will look fabulous!
