Here's an online catalog devoted to mother's rings. I didn't see any unusually creative settings & heaven only knows what their colored gems look like in real life, but there's certainly an array of 5-stone styles that might serve as a springboard for your own project designing:kallard|1463575039|4033177 said:* * * After listening to the suggestions, and thinking about this, I have started thinking about other possibilities that have nothing to do with my wedding ring. These include new rings for a different hand/finger:
- my birthstone (aquamarine, but they are so light, that I am not sold on this idea)
- mother's ring (but I have five kids and 3 are triplets, so can't figure out how to make that look right - 3 amethyst, 1 peridot, 1 sapphire)
- just a ring I like

One caution: both amethyst and peridot stones can chip and/or get "scuffed up" fairly readily, so better off in occasional wear rings (or a pendant or earrings) rather than a ring you'd like to wear daily/frequently.
Aquamarines will generally hold up better, altho' there seem to be a paucity of them nowadays in a nice color & without a full-on window, even in higher price ranges than I'm inclined to pay for an aquamarine. But it looks as if sherryberrybear has just found one that pleases her and her budget:

Still, a ring that appeals to you for non-symbolic reasons frees you up to expand the parameters of your search
