We were both 24 when we got married (too young) but waited until we were 30 when the first was born. We were both 34 when our second child was born.
I think we were too young for marriage at 24; however I think we were mentally and financially the right age for us for timing our two kids.
I remember back in 1989 before we went to prenatal classes I thought we would be one of the older couples but when we got there the first night, my husband (at age 30) was the only one with a full head of hair. (Oh I know lots of men got bald young, but the other parents looked quite a bit older. I think it was more that the "younger" parents did not go to prenatal classes).
