If it had gone down the drain, I wouldn't even be posting. Here's what happened. I was in a store and used their restroom. While washing my hands, my ring slipped off (no, Skip -- I hadn't removed my ring). It got caught by the stopper. I opened the door and yelled for help. The store manager, security guy and operations guy came. The ops guy made a hook with wire to fish the ring out, but only succeeded in pushing it further down the sink! You know how the pipe under the sink is bent in different places? Thankfully, it landed in a corner.

I'm sorry, but I forgot to tell you guys that it was my rolling ring, not my e-ring. If it had been the latter, I'd have had a heart attack. I think it came off because I've lost weight, including on my fingers. What do I do? Apparently, both rings are too loose, but not enough for a ring guard. Now, I'm too freaked out to wear either.

I did want to lose weight, but not the way I did. I''ll call Cartier first thing on Monday. Do you think they can resize it? I''m too freaked out to wear my e-ring till it gets re-set and re-sized, but Leon''s away for the first 2 weeks of July.

My Cartier told me the rolling rings can be sized.

The plain one''s yes, the one with diamonds no. So good thing you have a plain one. I wouldn''t wear the ering until you get it sized.
