I'm going to Singapore this fall. I'm going to Singapore this fall. I'm going to Singapore this fall.

I want to cry I'm so happy. I can hardly believe I really get to go back. I'm super excited about going to NZ, but going back to my little island home is probably the most exciting thing that's happened to me in the last 5 years.
:appl: :appl: :appl:

I'm so happy for you, P!

I've been thinking about this all week: would Diet Coke and a shot of Nyquil make a good mixed drink. It's tempting. It's intriguing. Huh...

Thoughts?

Cherry flavored nyquil? MMM Diet Cherry Nyquoke

Nyquoke lol!!! Will buy the diet cherry coke tonight! ;-)

Double gross.

Maybe light it on fire before drinking like the "Flaming Moe" on the Simpsons?

OK went to cut my hair at our city's major shopping mall. Can't even think of how much we spent with my 7-year old. Luckily, some of these things can be returned.

I just want to say that Miranda Lambert was fantastic on the Grammy's last night.

And despite his dance skills and the fact that I love Usher... I still hate the Bieber.

A distinct freckle that I have had on my chin my whole life was WIPED off yesterday!! I was putting toner on my face and a scab from a tiny cut that just happened to be on top of it, fell off as I wiped it. I'm pretty bummed about losing a feature of my face! :blackeye:

Oh no...is that something to be concerned about? Are you going to see a dermotologist to be on the safe side?

I love my friends. I really, truly love them. But sometimes? Sometimes I just want to tell them to take their opinions of how I live my life and shove them very firmly up their rear ends.

Okay - so, is like data entry painfully boring and is that why I cannot stay on task or is it because I have adult ADHD?

Oh my god. Who came up with the concept of typing names into databases? Is this to track the mass populous or to drive a certain sector of the job market people who type all the names into the spreadsheet insane so they'll buy adhd meds or so they'll buy large quantities of diet soda to stay awake?

Where is my nyquil when I need it?

This weekend I went to see a band my friend J really wanted to see. We've got totally different taste in music, but she was really excited about them, so we went. I wasn't so impressed with them, and just looking at the band after them I really wanted to leave. I mean, it was like looking at Weird Al's long lost son and his rag-tag group of friends. I just couldn't take them seriously. I agreed to listen to one song ("And I mean it! ONE SONG!") and we ended up staying for their whole set. They were really entertaining! And now their songs are stuck in my head and I can't get them out.

And I think we kind of made them happy - we were definitely the 4 snotty girls in the middle of the crowd being total non-joiners, and by the end the singer would smile every time he looked at us and saw us dancing and clapping and singing along. Seriously, they put on a great show!

My jeweler just told DH that he'll have a 2.3 ct vintage cushion in ten days. I think he's getting it recertified right now. I'm very excited! We told him to call us if he ever gets a good vintage cushion that I might like, and he thinks this one is my style. I have nobody else to tell, and I had to share with somebody. EEEEEEEEEEH!

I'm tired of going to doctors. Blechhhh!!!! And it's only going to get worse for the forseeable future. It's become something of a part time job.

I got an email about going to the convention last month. Didn't we just elect a new president? It feels like we just did.

Drove 1.5 hours to try to eat dinner on the coast in a small fishing town. Everyone had closed 15 mins before we got there and wouldn't serve us. Had to drive 1.5 hours back and eat at what was left open.

I had a mental breakdown last nigh. Ugh! Working from home (for just one week now) = major cabin fever.

I turned on a documentary which was talking about a building which is one of my favorites (I love the way it looks) and said something to my Dh about it. His response was how would I know what it is like as I've never been there. I FLIPPED out about being stuck here not going anywhere.

He said he was joking, but ugh, I am really going nuts and that just threw me over the edge.

Awww, thank you Gemgirl! As the proud owner of a very unpopular type of stone here on PS (a modern cushion with, gasp! crushed ice-like faceting) it's really nice to get some e-ring love. :))

IF I love this new stone enough to buy it we'll trade in my existing e-ring (or just the stone) for the new one. We'll see, though. My jeweler really does know what I like, but if the new stone doesn't sing to me as my current stone did, I won't make the change. The prospect of a new ring project is very exciting, though. I'll admit I already skimmed through the antique cushion threads in SMTB for inspiration.

I walked outside to take the dog out at 645 this morning- it was mild and birds were chirping! That means spring is coming in ATL!!! I am soooo excited. We'll probably get at least one or two more cold snaps, but still.

Oh you're so lucky to be living where you live. I took my puppy out at 2:00 a.m., 4:00 a.m., and 5:45 a.m. and the poor thing just froze! Besides that, we had strong winds last night. She had never seen wind before and was afraid of what was happening. April can't come soon enough for me. Then when our weather realy changes for the better here in NY.

I hate phony news people.

My cousin's 4 year old son was in a car accident and is now in a coma. The news covered it from the perspective of the church and the way prayer is helping him recover. HE IS NOT OK. True the swelling in his brain has stayed consistent the last few days and he is moving his feet, but he is on a ventilator, in a coma, and has suffered severe brain damage. I wanted to drive to the news station headquarters and punch the anchor who said "now isn't this just a wonderful and heartwarming story" at the end of the segment.

It drives me nuts. My state holds the first primary, so it gets a lot of coverage around primary/election time. It's exciting but it starts too early, in my opinion.
