We''re looking for wedding bands and I need some help. My fiancee''s engagement ring''s setting does not allow for a wedding band to be worn flush against the setting. She tried on a band at a local jeweler and didn''t like the space between the setting and the band. We''d like to avoid the time and cost associated with getting a custom wedding band to fit around the e-ring setting if possible. We''re going to go back to a store and look at how getting two thin bands to flank on both sides of the e-ring and how it looks and feels to her. You can see pics of the e-ring here:

Some possible options we are considering:

Plain 2mm platinum rings:

She may want milgrain or possibly just the standard plain band
I was thinking of something like this with Milgrain and 5-6mm width in Platinum for myself

1.4mm rings w/.15tcw diamonds

This could work if she wants a little more sparkle while keeping the rings still very thin

2.4mm rings/w.15ctw diamonds

I thought this could maybe work if she didn''t like the 1.4mm, but i wonder if 2.4mm is too wide for the look we''d be going for

I''d like to stay under $1000 for her ring/rings and would most likely like some small diamonds in the band. Not sure what it would run for a custom band (with or w/o diamonds) so this would be my first choice if she likes how the flanked option looks/feels. Does anyone have any opinions as to what might look best in this situation? I sure would appreciate it!

thanks!

I ended up getting a spacer ring. Here''s the thread. It allows me to have a "notched wedding band" look (the spacer) and wear my real wedding band on my right hand, or to wear all three rings together without a space.
