Help finding a vintage styled three stone ring setting...

I have lurked on PS for many years, but this is my first post!

I thought I had picked out a lovely vintage-styled three stone ring from Fay Cullen... I bought my wedding earrings from her 9 years ago and had a great experience, but after reading recent reviews, I was concerned about purchasing from FC again. So, I started looking for a similar setting elsewhere.

I actually ran across this fantastic art deco one-which I actually like even better-the problem is that it has been sold!

http://eragem.com/art-deco-antique-engagement-ring-three-stone-old-european-cut-diamond-solid-platinum.html

So my question-does anyone have any suggestions of a similar ring? Or recommended vendors? Its not an engagement ring-so it doesn't need to be all diamonds-I am open to other gemstones. It does need to be platinum or palladium as I am allergic to white gold. It can be an antique or a reproduction.

Thanks so much for all your help!

I was thinking about a vintage setting from Gabriel & Co. I think this setting would pair well with Good Old Gold August Vintage Rounds. Since you can customize Gabriel settings, perhaps they can sell you the setting without the side diamonds and then you can purchase 3 AVRs from GOG. GOG is a Gabriel dealer, so they would know if this is possible:

I found a lot of similar styles as the one you like. Try Langs Antiques...they usually have some deco three stone rings in stock.

Also Craig Evan Small in West Hollywood had similar rings, and Singlestone can easily make a reproduction of what you want. None of the above will be cheap.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've never done business with antique vendors other than FC, so I appreciate your help!

After some thought, I think what I really like about then ring above is the octagon around the diamonds.

I checked out Lang's Antiques. They've got great pieces! Wow!

I loved this one, but its completely out of my price range!

Then I also found this one-

This one was cool too!

Ah, octagons...I know the feeling. ::)

DiamondZone on ebay has cast settings for cheap. They probably aren't the best quality, but for instance, this one is $195 and you could pop some colored stones in.

PSers have bought from them and been happy. What you pay for is what you get, but if you go in with that understanding, might be worth a look. They have some authentic antique pieces too, and may be able to do their cast ones in platinum?

Below are some other inspiration pics I saved with a similar look. Also, I ended up going custom for my three stone ring. I wanted octagons, but something I could stack with a band. My thread can be found at: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/old-european-cut-three-stone-ring-by-23rd-street-jewelers.175582/

Burk was also selling this one - but it's 14K WG. I think it in the $400 range last she listed, but it has no stones and the prongs need to be reworked. Haha, I see one of my saved inspiration pic is the original one you love! As you can see, that style is pretty common for the era. I saw quite a few three stone rings in that style in the different places I shopped.

I have a similar ring, but mine is in 18kt gold and MUCH smaller. I got it from Isadora's in Seattle- you might peruse their website to see if they have anything else. I do think the prices there are high, though.

TravelingGal-

I am not trying to be nosy, but could you give me a range of prices that you were quoted when custom making the ring? I have absolutely NO IDEA what to expect!

Also, do you have any idea where your third picture came from? Love it!!

Checking out Isadora now!!

thanks again for all your help!

Logan Sapphire-
How large is your ring? It doesn't look small!

Trust me, it's much smaller! The total estimated carat weight is only .54. I think the center stone is around .20 and the side stones are .17 each.

Sorry for the delay in response! I've been out of town.

No, I forgot where I found that 3rd pic, sorry! It was my favs from all the ones I found in that style. I'll see if I can't dig it up by searching google again.

If you are talking custom for the types of settings you see here (intricate metal work, diamonds, etc) from someone like 23rd street or Singlestone, my best guess is that it would cost between 5-7K. The best way is to send them a pic and get a general ballpark.
