Hello everyone!
This is a very quick 2 part question. I saw this on the 23rd Street Jewelers website
http://www.23rdstreetjewelers.com/aCatItem.aspx
1) Is this fishtail pave, and if so, is it different because it looks like (from side profile) that the surface is polished and smoothed out? It looks different from other fishtail pave looks I've seen on PS, because the texturing from the fishtail is gone on the sides.
2) If this isn't fishtail, then what pave is it? I'm still learning the visual differences.
I would like fishtail because I like the way it looks from up top but the texturing turns me off on the sides. Would love to know how I can achieve that pave look shown on the 23rd Street Jeweler's website if I were to ask for it from a custom designer. I've also seen this sort of smooth finish in the Michael B collection's website, if that helps PSers who may own a ring with that look. Perhaps it just looks smooth and polished from far away?
Thanks so much!
