Beautiful RICH green, gotta love emerald green! I very much enjoy the look of the carre side stones, something a little different which goes really well with the geometric octagonal cut outline.

Michael E is just so great to work with! I am glad you are happy with the project, wear it in good health

Thank you, SS. I love looking at your projects. They are gorgeous. Now, you need a green! Are you in the USA?

Perfectly executed design for a really gorgeous emerald! I''m in love with carre cuts after finding a carre eternity band, and I love how they look paired with your emerald!

Can''t wait to see more pics of it!

Beautiful ring! Sorry to be a dunce, but I did a search and couldn''t find the answer. Can someone explain carre cuts to me? Are they like square asschers? Are they the same as French cuts? Could someone explain those, too, lol?

Carre cuts and French cuts, (at least in melee), are both square step cut stones. These two stones were an absolutely perfect match and were a joy to set, since they both just jumped into the setting and nearly set themselves. The pictures of this emerald which I took don''t even come close to the intense green color of this emerald. It''s so much fun working on things like this with the added plus of being able to see even more fine stones than those which cross my desk from my own purchases. Thanks for the opportunity to work on this with you Pink Tower !

Thanks for the explanation. These cuts are going on my wish list!
