Bad choice of words - I meant to say a T&CO branded ring.

Ok I see, was worried there lol...

I know you''re not a fan but maybe anyone else can help as well..

For a princess cut and tiffany setting 4 prong, should I advise the setter to do a low, medium or high setting?

Thanks

This is the best version of the Tiffany ring I have seen: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/home/ring-details/?product_id=5505 Be careful whom you work with, all jewelers and setters are NOT created equal.

I would ste it medium.

There are only a handful of designers who will copy settings 100% but you may still be able to find some that will do it. Did you have local Toronto jewelers in mind?

I personally like my stones set as low as possible so it doesn't bang on things. However, the higher the diamond is set .. the bigger it looks. I think your diamond is plenty big so perhaps set it low?

Thanks Dreamer for the info...

No any specific in mind Charmy, did you have some you could recommend, I would love for it to be 100% copy. I''ll have to ask the setter to show me how it looks low, med, high.

PH Design
149 Church Street at Queen St, East side on the second floor
416.367.2870

I haven't been happy with many Toronto jewelers but I have been pretty satisfied with PH Design. As I mentioned before, they usually service other jewelers but take consumer busines as well. I used them to set over 20 rings and they have done a great job and even fix other jeweler's mistakes.

Based on what I have seen, I think they can easily make a Tiffany replica for you. Their pave work is good for what you can get in Toronto but nothing compared to Leon Mege (then again .. you have no pave in your design so it's a non-issue).

Here is a ring they made for someone else on the board.

Other Suggestions
I haven't used any of these before but it doesn't hurt for you to check them out. Just a warning, I have tried other Toronto jewelers recommended by PS - good service but I was not happy with the quality. Below is a short list of the ones that I might check into in the future.

Myersons Limited

Used by my co-worker who was happy with the results. Also has been recommended on PS before.

Rose Jewellery
21 Dundas Sq #1201, 416-366-1157
Victor has been recommended by several vendors. People seem happy on PS. They are located at Dundas Square across from Eaton's center. I think it is a different one than the ones with the website.
