I just saw on the news that Obama''s grandma is very sick and in "serious" condition. Obama just announced that he''s canceling his campaigning on Thursday and Friday to be at her bedside. So sad. My thoughts are with his family. Looking at this photo you can tell the love that they have for each other.

Yes this is indeed a very beautiful picture, a picture symbolizing the non-discriminatory humanity and love that I hope all Americans believe in.

Though the recent reality has disappointed me from time to time, I am still thankful for the hope, and for those of you who share in my belief.

LOVE this thread. A few pages back, there were folks wondering about the candidates'' wedding rings -- I''m trying to find it, but my local newspaper (qctimes.com) ran a photo collage during the Iowa Caucuses of all of the candidates'' hands. It was SUPER cool but also there was a close-up of Obama''s ring. I''ve looked through photo archives and I don''t think they have it in any of the galleries, since these were photos that that had been enlarged just for the editorial photo. Will keep looking -
