Raise Your Hand if You Want Jewelry for Valentine's Day!
Wed, 13 Feb 2013By Erika Winters
We do! And it's not too late... While Valentine's Day is tomorrow, some online jewelry retailers (Blue Nile, Tiffany & Co., and Pearl Paradise, for example) are offering overnight shipping that ends later today. And do head over to your local jeweler for last-minute jewelry gifts. Today is likely the busiest jewelry shopping day of the month: a FedEx survey of 1,000 consumers found that 36 percent of Valentine's Day shoppers "wait until the last minute" to make a purchase.

2013 Grammy Awards Jewelry Highlights: Millions in Diamonds, Statement Earrings
Mon, 11 Feb 2013By Erika Winters
The gowns were tame--for the most part--but celebrities adorned themselves with pomp at the 2013 Grammy Awards. While the show provides a mixed bag of fashion, you can count on bold jewelry, whether it's a full-blown-bling affair or purposeful jewels that hold their own.
Our favorites included statement earrings worn by Miranda Lambert and Jessica Biel. And how could we ignore the millions worth of diamonds worn by Jennifer Lopez and Carrie Underwood? Beyoncé was all geometry with her black and white ensemble, but we had our eyes on what appeared to be a giant shield-shaped (slice or rose-cut) diamond ring by Lorraine Schwartz.

Now this is how PS members ring in the new year! Over the past couple weeks we've seen a flurry of 4-carat-plus diamond rings on the Show Me the Bling forum. Statement Necklaces Take Center Stage at the 2013 SAG Awards
Mon, 28 Jan 2013By Erika Winters
Necklaces took center stage at the 19th-annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Looks ranged from classic diamonds by Harry Winston and Chopard to bold color from Irene Neuwirth. We were particularly taken with Les Miserables star Amanda Seyfried's long Art Deco-inspired necklace by Lorraine Schwartz and Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps' one-of-a-kind opal creation from Neuwirth. We hope to see the long statement necklace trend continue at the upcoming 2013 Academy Awards.
