2015 proved to be the Year of the Statement Necklace at the 87th Annual Academy Awards. We were simply delighted to see the array of stunning necklaces worn by celebrities on the red carpet and on stage during the show! The night’s easy favorite was Focus actress and Oscar presenter Margot Robbie, who wore a vintage diamond and sapphire zip necklace by Van Cleef and Arpels. The necklace was originally created for the Duchess of Windsor, who first commissioned Van Cleef to create the new zip style circa 1938. There were so many gorgeous looks to love at the 2015 Oscars. Here are some of our favorite statement necklaces from the show!

Favorite Style: Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie stole the show in a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels zip necklace that was originally made for the Duchess of Windsor. The style is actually credited to the Duchess who suggested a jewel be made based on a zipper itself circa 1938.

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett’s simple black gown was the perfect canvas for the stunning Tiffany & Co. turquoise, aquamarine and diamond necklace.

Carmen Ejogo

Selma actress Carmen Ejogo stunned in a diamond necklace by Chopard.

Anna Wintour

Though everyone was buzzing about American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour’s sunglasses worn during the show, we couldn’t take our eyes off her giant, gorgeous aquamarine necklace.

Faith Hill

Viola Davis

Viola Davis looked elegant in pearls by Van Cleef & Arpels.

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana’s Neil Lane diamond necklace was more demure than some of the other jewels on the red carpet, but her look was pure Hollywood glamour and va-va-voom!

Rita Ora

Singer Rita Ora performed Oscar nominated song “Grateful” from Beyond the Lights at the show wearing a Bulgari diamond Serpenti necklace. Suffice to say we were incredibly distracted by this Bulgari stunner!

Laura Dern

Laura Dern’s Bulgari statement necklace worked perfectly with her gunmetal gown by Alberta Ferretti.

Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick wore diamonds by Norman Silverman that proved functional as well as fabulous. We love how the singer and actress worked the necklace into her gown.
