Firstly most people choose AGS or GIA certed diamonds as these are said to be the industry standard. Egl is a good lab, but some can say that the grading is more lenient that the first 2 labs. Of course, EGL certed diamonds generally have a lower price tag. If you are happy with an EGL cert it can be best to stick to EGL USA.

The crown and pavillion angles are needed to determine cut quality. These should be on the EGL certs as percentages, which aren''t as accurate but do give you some idea.

Read the tutorials under knowledge, this will answer your questions so you know what to look for. If you do buy an EGl certed diamond, be aware that it might appraise as a lesser colour and clarity than you thought, it isn''t always the case but it can happen. An independant appraisal is a good idea whatever you buy. Good luck.
