Hi guys and girls,
I have been looking for a diamond, but so far the only one i have actually seen that i REALLY like has a EGL Antwerp cert. It is a 1crt D IF EX no flour. for about 15,200USD, but like i said EGL Antwerp cert. Although it is probably not the grade it states, is this a reasonable price?
I am interested in quality more that quantity, but 1crt would be nice. I have decided to probably look instead for an AGS 000 with a lesser colour/ inclusion grade. For me, the internet is the most practical way to buy, but also means i have to judge on the spec, not in person. Its alot of money to me....scary.
As a layman, i understand that i will be able to tell the difference between AGS 000 and other cuts. If this is right, then i assume if i only buy an AGS 000 cut stone then i will be buying something that i can see just as beautiful as any other perfect cut stone, less the cut and clarity. But it will be a sure fire way of getting the best in fire and brilliance within my budget?
The next question i have is where will i not be able to tell the difference in terms of colour and clarity? I have seen a 1.04 crt E VVS2 AGS cert ID no flour. for 16000 USD. Is this reasonably? For my eyes, am i unlikley to find better?
Thanks for your help guys
