Nothing yet. I can''t think of anything I want besides the expensive stuff, jewellery and holidays. I perfer to buy my own jewellery, I''m better at it than he is, but he always wants things to be a surprise. We''ll have small budgets for the next few years so I think I may just ask for books or CDs.

So I''m thinking of just asking for a couple of books and troll beads or pandora beads for my bracelet.

Well, what I would really love is either a new pair of earrings from WF or a RHR. My honey wants turntables. We''re still deciding on what to do as this year was a big spending year for us (what with the e-ring and the new car coming soon). We may just get a flat screen as a gift to each other and call it a day. Of course, my birthday is 3 weeks after and we haven''t made any rules on that

I''m guessing I''ll get some kind of jewelry from BF, a plane ticket from my parents to Vegas, and I''ll buy myself shoes. (This scenario will essentially be a repeat of last year. Minus the wedding part.)

And I already know we won''t get any puppies until we move to a house. Which won''t happen for at least 4, maybe even 5 years.

But maybe I''ll get a stuffed puppy!

Orb, I am so sorry to hear about your hip trouble, are you having a replacement?

No hip replacement...thank goodness! I''ve been have hip pain since January so a few months ago I went to the doctor. I''ve had an ultrasound, x-rays and an arthrogram (dye injected into the joint) with an MRI. I have a femoral impingement so I have to have my femoral head shaved down to make it the correct shape, and the labrum which lines the hip socket separated from the bone. So I''m having surgery to fix all that.

Don''t you think I should have a surgery present? LOL I''m having it done the day before my birthday, so a surgery/birthday present sounds like a wonderful idea. Can''t seem to sell hubby on the idea though. heehee.

All I want for the rest of 2008 and the beginning of 2009 is our wedding, which my parents are generously contributing to. It''s more that I ever could have imagined they would do, and I would never ask for anything else.

FI and I are saving all year to offset the rest of the wedding costs. It will be a lean present year, but it''s going to be worth it to be married.
