What gem will you set on a 5.5mm 5 prongs ring mount?

Hi there I have a 18k white gold 5 prongs solitaire (round)ring mount. It came with a 60 pointers diamond. I intend to remove the diamond to remount it into another setting. Hence I am left with the 5 prongs mount. 60 pointers is a pretty small size to work with, aprox 5.5mm diameter (round) X 3.5 mm depth. What type of gems do you recommend? I prefer the hardier gems like Sapphire or ruby. Do you see any in this petite size? Do let me know should you come across any Welcome picture references

It is more common and easy to find gemstones in smaller sizes. It shouldn’t be an issue to find a sapphire, ruby, spinel or chrysoberyl to fit your setting. The only issue that you might encounter is the round shape as those aren’t common in gemstones.
