what do you think of this stone?

I am having trouble deciding among the following stones:

I would probably get a platinum setting for the top two and a white gold setting for the bottom two to balance out the price difference.

I think the firescope image on the last diamond (.85 F SI1) is the best, but the HCA score can be either 1.3 or 2.1 depending on which set of measurements I use. Should this be a concern?

The first has a nice angle combo 34.0/40.9 one of my favorite and med lgf% <--- bright diamond. Id like a longer lgf% but its more balanced the way it is.

The second has a good angle combo and short lgf% <-- not my favorite but if you like very fiery diamonds its the one.

third one nice angles, moderately short lgf% but big stars to bring the white light back up. nice combo. tight physical symmetry.


fourth one of my favorite combos, med lgf%, big stars, low 34 crown and pavilion pushing 41 <-- very bright diamond at the opposite side of the personality spectrum than #2.


There isnt a loser in the bunch cut wise but there are some different personalities.

Huge thanks to strmrdr, Ana, Ira, belle, kaleigh, and anyone else who answered my questions over the past few weeks.

I kept going back and forth between buying in a local store and buying online, but finally decided to go with a Vatche platinum Royal Crown setting and a .85 ct F VS1 H&A stone from GoG.

Since not a single B&M person that I talked to knew what they were talking about, I know I would not have found a good diamond without this site. Thanks everyone!!
