OOOh H, very pretty. It reminds me of a cross. I like the penny shot and the size of the pendant

Replying to myself, duh

, I have even been to Grenada and the Alhambra. It looks just like the cut-outs in the ceilings there!

That is very pretty! I looked on the VCA site the other day to see the pieces, and it appears they are really pushing the yellow gold again. I think it would be pretty in wg as well.
They have it in wg too, but not in mother-of-pearl.

I''ve always disliked yg, but somehow this one worked.

Very pretty Harriet! You have that great Cartier ring with YG in it, so you''ll have something to wear with it!

HI:

Lovely collection from a company who has the most wonderful pieces--I could own something of everything there!

cheers--Sharon

Sharon,
Which pieces do you have or have your eye on? Is there a Van Cleef near you?

HI:

Sadly, there is no VCA near here--the closest is in LA. In general, we visit California often, but Palms Springs in specific. I have yet to own anything from them, but I adore the Alahambra collection--a long chain with multiple "clovers" woulds set me up for life!
9.gif
. There is, however, a shop in Montreal that carries jewellery pieces and some watches. They would ship if I wanted something they had in stock or their rep. could try and get a special request.

Thing is, I have been waiting for the "right" ruby to come along. I called VCA last Christmas, and they had several rings that seemed wonderful. Regretfully the SA had quite an attitude..... At any rate, the ruby rings were in the 25-50K range for around 1-3 carat stones, so I''m thinking that would be the last straw for my patient DH. For sure I''d be out on my ear if I tried to even hint at that.......so I keep my eye out on Signed Pieces. But anytime I''ve seen a VCA ruby ring, it is snapped up in a heartbeat. Bit of an obsession with VCA and rubies I am afraid....but now the Canadian $$ is stronger

Anyway, enjoy your piece.

cheers--Sharon

Or so you think now.

Ooh, do you have a picture of the VCA ruby you have in mind? Btw, I had a very sweet SA. Do let me know if you''d like to get in touch with her.

From DF. This is from the ILs.

Weren''t they giving you something else, like that Cartier necklace we had a thread going about recently?

I saw this and fell in love, and the rest is history.

So is this in stead of the Cartier necklace?

Of course!

Harriet --- It is so GREAT! I heart <3<3<3 this collection big time. The pieces are quite pricey for the actual materials, but SO worth it as they are very distinctive. I am so glad this is what you picked after the long debate (I remember the thread re the ILs and "few" versus "several" etc).

Well done, Harriet, well done.
31.gif

I think this is much nicer than the trinity necklace, and hope you will be satisfied with it!

Congratulations on your newest!

They are distinctive, aren''t they? Aso, I''m a sucker for the vintage look.

I am so happy with my little four-leaf clover that it will be daily wear!
Btw, I''ve decided against the trinity necklace. Ever.

Ohhhh, Harriet! I missed this. I''ve been MIA for the past few days...DD jumped off of a chair into a pile of pillows and then bounced into the corner of a bookcase. 3 stitches and a few days later, see what I missed. It is just beautiful! I really love it! I like it better than the trinity necklace, too! I swear, you make my wish list grow with every one of your threads! Congratulations and Happy B-Day!

Thanks!
Poor baby, how is she now?

She''s doing well, thanks for asking. She is really a tough little thing. She only cried for a few minutes after she hit her head. They were shocked at her calmness at the hospital.
