Hi all,

What would be consider a "circle of death" in an diamond?
Using idealscope will we see the 8 arrows clearly if there is an circle of death?
I recently view a GIA with execellent symmetry and found the dark arrow pattern very clearly with "hot spots" in betwwen the arrows, however the table area is pale pink (quite hard to judge if it is how many percent pink), do we consider this as "circle of death"?

Are you using soft diffused light as shown on the website?
Or the ideal light?

If you thought the pale pink was about 1/2 as intense as the crown facet pink then the leakage is about 1/2 to 1/3rd as much as your brain tells you. (depending on the brightness of the back light.)

This chart gives a scientific explanation for perception of the color intensity - ask again if you want more explanation
