Here it is... I will be purchasing one of these this week.
Either way, I dont believe that I can go wrong. All Im waiting on is
to sneakily figure out the ring size ;-)

This will be the last time you hear me asking questions!

BTW Im leaning toward the Engagementringsdirect stone because it
is a bit larger and doesnt have the blue flourescence.
Any comments or questions on the specs?
Thanks

I don''t think you can go wrong with either deal, but it seems like engagementringsdirect is the better way to go in this case. Not much more money and the center diamond is larger along with the diamonds in the setting.

I don''t know a lot about princess cuts but I''d trust Mark based on the consumer reviews here. Also, seems like with him you''re getting a slightly bigger stone and bigger sidestones

not able to comment on the stones, as I am no expert, or even close....but I can comment on customer service.

I feel that you will be better taken care of with Mark at EDR....he has been very helpful to me in a search for a diamond. Always returns calls and emails....

Union on the other hand........geees, never returned my phone calls OR emails!

I gotta admit the ERD one looks better...have you seen any idealscopes for either diamond yet?

Neither vendor offers idealscope images.
Uniondiamond doesnt even own one.

Mark has one, but doesnt have a camera set up to take the picture.
He said he stakes his reputation on that stone.

Being a 30 year reputation that means a lot

Im sold on his stone.
Thanks again for saving me from Ebay everyone, will post pics when I get it.

Now on to the proposal forum!

I was going to say #2 as well. Just looks to be a better deal and with the price not being much of a difference...why not get the bigger stone! Congrats

although it's difficult to judge fancies on numbers alone, the table/depth combo on the ERD stone looks better. It sounds like you've verified that it's eye clean, so good choice!

CONGRATS!

Well, if Mark is "staking his reputation" on the stone, I''d be pretty comfortable with it! Glad to hear you search was successful. Can''t help you on the proposal....I was pretty weak in that department! Been making up for it ever since............

Dont worry about it, youve been MORE than helpful in finding the ring.
I think I know what I want to do with the proposal, but I need some female suggestions.

She grew up about 400 miles north of where we live now, and there is a Bar up there that everyone goes to on the weekends.
we are going up there next weekend and I was thinking of proposing at the end of the night...

They always play the slow song at the end of the night, and eveyone couples up and dances... then I figured Id have one of her friends come up and distract her, then when she turns back around Ill be on my knee with the ring?

That way she will be around all her friends, and its sorta public... and Im pretty sure I can get the DJ to put the light on us. ( I kinda know her)
I know its the wrong forum... but Im just gonna throw that out there.

is there a wrong venue?
i think it sounds so sweet!

especially since you''ll be in her home town! any chance of making sure her closest friends are in the bar hanging out that night?

Congrats!

Yeah, all her friends will be up there, thats all they do on a Saturday night!
The only thing I worry about is two of them just got engaged earlier this year and
are in the process of wedding planning... I REALLY dont want to "steal anyones sunshine"

What do you all think?

Nothing wrong with proposing in a bar?

personally, I don''t think there''s anything wrong with proposing anywhere you and your girl happen to be. so if you two are going to be in a bar, and all her friends are there, why not? i think it sounds like fun!

and i wouldn''t worry about stealing anyones sunshine, although it''s VERY VERY sweet of you to think of it! they had their engagement, and your proposal shouldn''t affect their wedding plans one bit.

I''m sure she''ll be thrilled!!

Can''t wait to hear how it went!
