Under 1ct diamonds

Yes only post if it will change what you do! Actually I've just had a look and D VS1 in that carat range in 18k simple 4 prong solitaire and the prices I can see are just about what you've paid. If you'd be willing to go down to VS2 (still eye clean) and/or E or F colour (still colour less) you could probably pay less or get bigger but if you're set on D VS1 you've done not too bad. Other question is the diamonds certification. If it doesn't have a GIA or AGS certification it could not be a true D VS1 stone. But as I said if none of this will change what you do in the end then stop reading and enjoy your nice ring :)

Really appreiciate your comment. I cant do anything now i buy it already..haha i thought DeBeers IIDGR certification is good also. :(2 is there a way my diamond can verify by GIA or AGS?

If you've bought it, love it, can't return it etc, get off these boards and stop torturing yourself, you've done a good job, enjoy your ring :)

Beautiful.. I am looking at a replacement ring (lost my diamond wedding rimg) and you BGD is on my short list. I love it. So glad to see a regular shot of it

I love looking at everyones beautiful rings! Sometimes I avoid looking at these forums because I start to envy different styles and wish I had chosen a different ring when I see how beautiful others are! (Please tell me that happens to other people too! )
I still love my ring though! It's a .72ct 18t white gold with .59ct of small round brilliants on the band and halo. :saint:

@Dani4 -

That looks perfect on your hand! Lovely ring. :)

thank you, mrs-b, that's kind of you to say.

I added my "Under 1ct" pieces, earlier, in this thread, but I wanted to post this update:
I transferred my Great-Aunt's diamond into a new semi mount, and I wanted to share it with you, here.
The center stone is uncerted. Jeweler says it's spread across the table & top is equal to that of a 0.75ct round. The depth will probably add more weight to the stone, making it an estimated 0.80-0.90ct diamond.
Here are her uncertified, estimated stats:
Old European Cut (circa 1880-1900)
0.80-0.90ct
G-I color
SI2-SI1 eye clean clarity
Small culet

Semi Mount:
14k solid white gold custom made in Boston
4 stacked baguette side stones (2 on each side) tension set
10 shared prong set single cut diamonds
VS Clarity
G-H color
0.27cttw
Size: 5.5

I named her "Nancy" after 3 very amazing women in my family. :mrgreen2:

@Dani4 - could you pls tell me how many diamonds are in the halo and band? I'd like to try to work out what size melee you're using.

Many thanks!

Thank you so much for your kind words and praise. It really makes my heart smile to receive your compliments as this is my first diamond ring and I am still excited about it. :twirl:

There are 12 small diamonds in total along the band. (6 along each side of the center stone and halo.)
The halo portion has 12 diamonds around the center stone. Mrs-b, what is a melee?

This was purchased in Australia as my fiancé is Australian. They told me this was a size J 1/2, which I am pretty sure translates into a US size 5.5.

As far as the center stone goes, the only information I have about it is from my insurance valuation papers, which describe it as a color G-H with a SI clarity.

Hope everyone has a wonderful night.

Absolutely beautiful!! Congratulations!!! Hope you have fun shopping for wedding bands to compliment that beauty!!! :mrgreen2:

I had my e ring and 20th anniversary band soldered together and I couldn’t be happier. I was only able to wear the two together with a spacer band between
because the girdles of the band stones rub against the e ring. The two plus a spacer were just not very comfortable.

Center stone: GIA E VS2 .92
Setting is .50 I believe

It’s beautiful!!! :eek2:

Here's my .91 ct VVS2 radiant ering from Whiteflash. It's not huge, but I do love it. Though I absolutely LOVE all of the beautiful BLINGY rings, it's nice to see rings that around the 1 ct range or under. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to upgrade, but it's still great to drool over all of the awesome rings on PS.

What are those blings on each side of the ring?

My engagement diamond is way under 1 Ct. Bought from a Cambridge UK store with vague stats of 0.30 (at least) G (or better) VS2 (or better), in a platinum setting that was reworked from an asymmetrical bypass style to look straight, on a squishy size 6 finger. It does have a great cut, which somewhat kinda makes up for size.
Oh lord, I posted a picture of my fluffy onesie clad leg! How sophisticated of me...
