Will this make a nice ring for a women? 2.16ct, 6.86 x 6.65 x 5.26mm. Should we go bigger, maybe more red?

It looks like a bi-coloured tourmaline where it is red/green(?). Size and colour preference (redder) is purely a personal preference. Is she comfortable wearing something that size? Some women like theirs smaller (6mm) while others think that anything less than 8 mm is too small. Same with colour; some prefer something subdued while others prefer theirs to be capable of causing major eye damage. Some like red and others prefer a different colour.

Personally I don''t care for the bi-coloured tourmalines in a ring, but that is a matter for personal taste. I think the size and the cut are nice and eminently suitable for the ring.

The style of photography looks familiar to me and if it is from the vendor I think it is, there have been comments from time to time that suggest the images may be photoshopped. I don''t know if it''s true and I don''t think I''ve ever seen a case where someone has gone ahead and purchased a stone and come back here to report on how the stone resembles the photograph in real life.

I suspect the stone may turn out to be browner in reality than it is in the photo and I think it may just looked washed out on one side.

Hay Joe, I don''t know if this helps you or not. What I would say is that if you are seriously interested in this stone, or any stone for that matter, before you come here and tell us who the vendor is (and you don''t have to do that, of course), just make sure you reserve the stone. It has not been unheard of for someone to come here seeking advice on a stone only to have it swiped out from under them.
