It''s that time of year again. Time to get your flu shot. Vaccination remains the single most effective preventive measure available against influenza, and can prevent many illnesses and deaths. Each year some choose to take a chance and forgo the influenza vaccination. Do you get flu vaccine yearly?
For the last two years, I''ve gotten flu vaccinations, and both times I felt sick afterwards! Now, I know it''s a myth that the flu shot can cause the flu. I think I''m one of the rare cases, where people get a slight fever, muscle aches, and feel unwell for a day or two. But it lasts longer than a day or two. I felt sick for a couple days both times. I talked myself into getting the vaccine for the last two years because it''s recommended. Last year after feeling sick AGAIN, I vowed to never get the flu vaccine again! Then I start reading information on how beneficial the vaccine is and think I should get the shot!
Now I''m so confused! What should I do?
