Did you get the ASET? Please post...the suspense is killing me....LOL!

Not yet...still waiting for the ASET. Was told on Monday that it would take 3-5 business days.

Still LOVE that stone. Can't wait.

Got the ASET this morning - not exactly sure what I am looking at so I'll definitely need your help! :)

Per JA - The gemologist said that this 1.75 ct I/VS2 faces up white with a slight warmth. The overall brilliance and light performance is nice, with the brightest areas in the perimeter. This diamond is slightly dark in the center and sections of the perimeter. True to the clarity grade it is eye clean. ja_custion_628767.jpg

Hmmm...Not the ASET I was hoping for. Too much green around the edges. Post another thread with this info and ask for other opinions. But based on the gemologists report I would pass. I posted some modern cushions above. You could pick 2 that you like and get some other ASETs to compare. The comment about "slightly dark in the center" I assume is saying it has a "slight bow tie" affect. I couldn't tell if it would do that or not...the facets in the center are not turning off and on independently but some all on or all off if that makes any sense.

I really appreciate your feedback. It really did look like a nice one! I checked out the other cushions that you posted but I am looking more for an elongated stone. The measurements on this one was great.

I found this cushion brilliant but over budget and a slight bow tie, but really pretty stone. Nice large stone and elongated.
Really hard to find a nice elongated cushion. Can't believe I found another cushion brilliant. Like the
marquis cut and ovals they tend to have bow ties.

9mm x 7.6mm with this size you wouldn't need a halo.

You should also call Adam at Old World Diamonds and see what he can find for you in an elongated antique cushion.

Hope this helps.
