I love your ring! I just now noticed from the side views how the bezel sits up higher than the halo, it's very pretty. Was that a decision you made?

Actually, no, it wasn't my decision. I pictured my oval o be flush with the rest of the halo. But I am now glad that it was done this way otherwise the whole thing might end up looking disproportionally flat!... already, the whole thing sits very low as is (at my request)

Did you choose Quest for a specific reason? ie: are they known for being able to add a halo to an existing ring?
(I've wished I'd gone with a halo since I got my reset four years ago. The jeweler talked me out of it My ring is well made and lovely, but I do think the addition of a halo would be awesome. Maybe I'll go back and see if they would consider it/be able to do it.)

I went with Questbecause I read that another PSer had it successfully done too. After speaking with Pete over the phone, I had even more confidence that they would be a good choice. He tells me he does a handful of these orojects a month. He also quoted a reasonable price. All of Quest's other work on PS looks great too. I did not bother with anyone locally.... I on,y trust PS member feedback!

yay!! Honestly, Pete is a nice guy. And they seem to be very knowledgable. You can try to search for some of their quest masterpieces here on SMTB to see some of their work. Pete was very committed to my project and delivered on time. The price was also very reasonable

Is it possible for you to take a few more pictures of your halo? Maybe in everyday light, I'm trying to see how your halo looks, if it is very detailed with the melee and if you can see each diamond by itself like in the pictures. (Sorry to bother you)

Hi luvsdmb,

I think I understand where you are getting at with your question.... because one of the designs from timeless which you think you loved, you thought was "a sparkly mess" when u saw it in person... I understand what you mean...

Keep in mind that the melee in my halo are HALF pointers which is quite small, but this makes the halo dainty and tends to make the center stone stand out even more. You could go with 1 pointers which can look good too... especially since you oval is larger than mine

In my opinion, I can see the melee in my halo individually. I think quest did quite a good job and the prongs are very very small...I can only see them if I look up close!

The previous pics of my halo that you have seen are all taken with natural daylight next to a window. The following pics are taken just now (11:50pm), under my kitchen halogens and bathroom, entryway bulbs Hope that helps! The last one is with my desklamp.
