Well, as recent as 3 hours ago I was planning on waiting until spring to propose...

Then I read MissErin's proposal and I was very impressed with how it all worked out for them.

Anyway... my family is going to Disney World (Florida) between x-mas and New Years so I started thinking...hrm!

My thoughts:

-Since we are going to be there there are some obvious possibilities at Disney World (Florida)

-Last year I taught my GF how to snowboard and we discussed going to Quebec City so I thought:

We are both adventuring people and I'd like the proposal to be something memorable for both of us.

Fun is good too.

The best proposals are the ones that mean something to the couple. They don''t have to be big or elaborate or expensive or even unique. Just something personal.

If you look through the recent threads here, you''ll find all sorts of proposals. Buying a pizza and having the toppings spell out "marry me". Asking in an empty office. Flying to another country to surprise her on a business trip. Carriage rides.


What do you like to do together? What have you always talked about doing together? Is there something that has been a part of your relationship from the start?

Another thing to consider is if she wants a public or private proposal. Some women love the idea of big public things. Others want a quiet thing with just them.
