Hi,

Can someone tell me what's the carat size of a this ceylon sapphire(6.5mm x 6.5mm)...? Thanks in advance for your input.

When I did a carat weight calculation from this website

http://www.dendritics.com/scales/carat-weight.asp

I got 1.13 Ct. I used a height of 60%. I have used this before and it seems like the estimates are usually low compared to the finished weight of the gems I cut. I am not sure if this is because precision cutters usually cut at a little different angles or what though. I hope that helps.

It depends on the depth of the stone as well, but a 6.5 x 6.5 mm heart-shaped sapphire would typically be around 1.3 to 1.5 carats.
