The family plot. Farthest away is his aunt, then Elvis I believe, and then his parents. There is a marker for his twin in the corner, the infant is buried back where he was born. I'm kinda surprised they didn't move him here, I think I would have...

Sorry this turned out so crappy, had to keep resizing.

It was really dark in here, so I apologize for the pics. I tried to lighten them up without totally ruining them.

First off are 3 of his bikes. Love the pics behind them.

Each display had a write up about them, which I''ll include. I didn''t take a pic of all, but most.

Actually, I did have the info, but if I post it you can't read it. It says that legend has it that this 1971 Stutz Blackhawk was originally ordered by Frank Sinatra, but that it was charmed away from the dealer by Elvis. Although now restored, it was totalled by a hired driver on July 1, 1971.

Nice Pictures, Ellen. Did you go to Memphis specifically to see the Elvis exhibit? Do you live close by there (as in a state near there) or did you make it a trip?

Thanks MC.

No, it's funny. Well, sort of. We actually went there because hubby wanted to eat BBQ.

We weren't even going to go to Graceland, but everyone kept telling us it was worth it, so we went. And I'm glad we did, it was interesting. We live about 4 1/2 hours away by car, so not too bad of a trip. Pretty much a straight shot south of here, we live in southern IL.

Thanks ds!

Thanks guys! And Kaleigh, he did, but in all honestly, he found a place not far from here that is just as good as the best he had there! It only cost us a few hundred to find that out.

And I forgot a pic. This is his private plane.
yikes2.gif
He had the seats removed and replaced them with small tables with booth like seats, couches, TV''s and bar, and his bedroom in the back. Two half baths also.

They said one day Lisa Marie was playing, and Elvis realized she''d never seen snow. So they all hopped on the plane and flew to CO, I believe it was. Let her play in the snow a bit (don''t know exactly where) and then flew home again.

Our eating schedule got messed up, this truly was a "trip", lol. First night we were so tired and a bit tipsy, wasn''t that hungry due to late lunch, which was just an appetizer at Alfred''s and didn''t want to go in search of BBQ, so we ate at Huey''s across the street, touted as the best place to get a burger. They lied, it wasn''t.
lol.gif

The next day we had a huge breakfast at 8 AM. and at 4 in the afternoon, we STILL weren''t hungry, but I made us eat an appetizer at BB kings. That was where he had the best ribs. Then that night we ate at Rendezvous, claimed to have the best ribs in town. Hubby said they were ok, but not as good as BB King''s. I had the pulled pork sandwich, and it was good, but not as good as the one I had at the place he found near us. But everyone should go once anyway, it''s a hot spot, great atmosphere/decor, and loved by many major movie stars.

Then we had breakfast the next morning and took off.
