Solitaire Settings for Emerald Cut?

What type of solitataire setting do you think looks best with emerald cuts? We want something very simple that makes the stone look as large as possible (of course!) Any thoughts on ECs in cathedral settings?

i''m not a huge fan of 3 stone rings, but i think the ec looks very classy in a 3 stone setting. the cut is so clean, it begs for some company!! here''s an example.....

I would say a simple solitaire "tiffany style" setting that has the raised basket so that a normal band can sit next to it with no gap.

I love EC''s- want one myself- but personally would either do a simple knife-edge platinum band (like the first one here) OR my fave- a pave band like the 3rd one. I didnt think an EC would look right with a pave band, but I happenned to see one for myself- a patient of mine had it- and it was beautiful!!! I like tapered baguettes too, but it is just too common with the EC, imo. Good luck.

I did! haha.. just kidding. I used photoshop to add the pave diamonds on the shank. It''s actually the same ring as the first pic i posted. I got the pic from Signed Pieces'' website.
