Snow Storm, take 2. Finally my Mahenge!

Well, yesterday''s unprecedented snow storm gave me a lovely opportunity to finally get some good shots of my Mahenge (6 months later?!

) hehe, I promise they are worth the wait!

This is my favorite picture. I love how the stones glow in what appears to be dim light. Very beautiful colors!!

What are the specs on the stones again?

Just stunning. I think you beat me to that Mahenge. I had it saved in my favourites for soooooooo long and didn''t pull the trigger fast enough. You are so lucky. It''s gorgeous.

Thanks, TL. I love the glowy shots, too. The Mahenge is maybe around 1.5 ct and measures 8x6.5, the tsav is 5.5 mm. They''re not huge stones, but they pack a wallop of color!

Oh, and the photos were taken with a Nikon D40 DSLR. Not super fancy, but it does a fine job.

LD- I had my eye on the Mahenge for quite a while, too. Quick decisions re: stones are so not my thing. Glad it is mine

MTG- The Mahenge is from swala and the tsav is from Gene (purchased a couple years ago).

cellentani- I put hubby to work this afternoon and he dug out my car AND his in about an hour. He''s had lots of practice
