Hi,.

I love Weddings. What dress choice would you make now vs what you chose at your own wedding
Show us the new choice under $1,000, with a picture of the wedding dress you did wear.

I am very computer illiterate so I cant show pictures, but most of you can. I will say which dress I like for me after I see what you post,, if anything.

I think this is fun. Annette

This was the dress I wore four years ago. Not sure what I would choose if I had to do it again. I loved this dress, and I would probably pick it again! And it was actually under $1000!

I would choose something like this. Luckily, it's half price right now!

My dress from the early 90s was taffeta and lace, off the shoulders, long lace sleeves, bow in back. I don't have a photo handy.

Fun thread Annette!

I cannot choose just one.

Would it be if we were getting married today?
Or would it be if we could do our wedding day over again back when we got married?

If we were remarrying today (renewing our vows) I would choose an alternative wedding dress. Not one that is white but preferably blue or gray.

I would love do a beach wedding.
So something easy and flowy and flattering.

I also adore these 2 dresses and if I were getting married for the first time (and if I was younger) I would love wearing one of these dresses. They are just my style.

Well I haven't been married yet, and I won't be wearing a typical western dress when I do, can I still play??

Here is one of my favourite outfits (well above $1k though) if I decide to go for the traditional red:

Still above $1k and something I could only wear for a beachy destination wedding as it isn’t decorative enough for my family but I adore this:

Here is a pic of the outfit my friend eventually picked for her wedding (this pic is from the designer’s catalogue I think) - this one is under $1000! It’s around $800 inclusive of taxes:

This is another one I love that squeaks in at just under $1k inclusive of taxes. This is perfect for a morning wedding imo:

I’m finding it super hard to stick to $1k so I’ll stop here!

It was so hard to find one under $1000! I also pretended that I was turning back the clock so I would be a young bride, not old me. And I agree with @missy, I'd wear a non-white one if the wedding was now, probably pink.
@lizzydm26 I love your dress, but I'm waaaay too lumpy to wear it. :oops2:

Traditional wedding attire from other countries makes my heart sing. I love how unique the gowns are, and the outfits @AllAboardTheBlingTrain posted are lovely! :kiss2: My daughter has an Indian friend who seems to be attending a lot of weddings lately, and her gowns/outfits are so special, colorful and detailed!

I bought this soft-white Vera Wang bias-cut silk charmeuse gown with razored-chiffon trim about ten years ago. And then I found two more of the dress, in soft celadon, so I figured get them for bridesmaid dresses. Stored them carefully and they're still in perfect condition. Of course, my bridesmaids would be different women now, but I'd still wear this dress. But what jewellery?

Here's one of the bridesmaid dresses:

I’m too practical to choose a dress I could only wear once, so I wouldn’t choose anything that looked typically ‘wedding’. The other thing that would dictate my choice is that I no longer have the body of a 19 year old, which is how old I was when I did get married.

My original ‘wedding dress’ was grey and beige, ballerina length, thin silver grey ribbon straps, fine pleated top and floaty skirt.

It will not be white or a meringue for certain.

Most likely to be tailored black dress below the knee with a V neck, with a floaty and colourful top and three-quarters sleeves.

I shall accessorise with my nicest jewellery, black court shoes and a small black clutch bag.

A formal attire that I can wear again.

DK :))
