Oh, good question, Posh--no, they do not have to be yours. A friend of mine is looking for a princess halo e-ring, so I''m just trying to collect images for her. I''m so excited to have another ring project!

I have tried on this Simon G setting and it''s absolutely gorgeous. It gives a lot of finger coverage yet remains delicate looking... and it sparkles like crazy. The tourmaline is a pillow cut, but I was looking at the ring for an Asscher. I think it could accomodate a princess as well, though the corners of the halo are not pointed.

Ack - this is gorgeous! I still have my original princess ering and I was going to sell it but seeing this makes me think once, twice, three times! It would be a gorgeous RHR. How about the side traps in a colored stone? Oh my mind is reeling. I called my DH over to the computer to look.

My great fear was that I would sell off my stone and then find a fabulous setting and bum out that I sold it. I think you just saved me from that fate.

me too, it''s done so simply but is so striking. another PSer has it too. or rather, her fiance was the PSer. here''s the thread, and a pic https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/engaged-heres-a-pic.37557/.

not sure if it is the lighting in these pics but it seems a bit wavy. speaking from personal experience, some ritanis seem to turn out spot on and the details are executed very well (kohdy''s is a great example) and others, well, leaves you wondering. granted, no one can get it perfect every time. anyway, i digress......

Rainydaze--I know what you mean about some Ritani halos looking a bit wavy, I''ve noticed that as well. I wonder if it''s the lighting, or just an inconsistency in their work. I know it would drive me batty if I had a square shaped halo that wasn''t perfectly straight, though.
