This is my sister's bitmoji as I don't have one for the Rosh Hashanah. So this will do. :)

Thank you dear Nicky. I certainly will convey your warm and kind message to my parents.

We didn't visit with them this time.
I do not feel comfortable socializing right now.
I do not do anything but shopping for food indoors.
And we go to the necessary doctor appointments.
Everything else we do outdoors.

Right now I am having an argument with my mom about Thanksgiving.
I don't feel comfortable being inside and in November it will be indoor weather for the Thanksgiving meal.
My mom says you are vaccinated. We are vaccinated. What is the problem.
She doesn't get it.

I see vaccinated people getting Covid and getting very ill.
And even some vaccinated people are dying.
Of course more unvaccinated people die from Covid than the vaccinated but still it can and does happen so I do not want to take the risk.

Greg had cancer and has some other health issues.
I have auto immune issues.
My dad is 87. My mom has a myriad of auto immune issues.
My nieces attend school in person.
My BIL works in a hospital and sees patients daily.
My sister (veterinarian) sees her animals and their owners daily.
They are dealing with and exposed to the public on a daily basis.
I cannot tell them not to see my parents because they won't listen. And in fact they spent the holidays at my parents house.

I worry about everyone but especially my elderly parents.
I cannot control anyone's behavior but mine.
So I choose not to attend any gatherings at the moment unless they are held outside and even then only for family.

But my mom is angry with me at the moment and she is stubborn.
Not angry because we didn't attend the Jewish holidays at their home but angry about Thanksgiving.

::)
