how on earth do you put a brooch on this ?
As Sponsor of the Royal Navy’s newest frigate, The Princess Royal has visited HMS Venturer in Rosyth.

1713596911513.png
with the frigate still under construction, the ship’s company were introduced to their new sponsor as The Princess Royal toured both the assembly facility and Venturer herself.

The frigate is more than two years into her construction with the hull and much of the superstructure complete in a cavernous, state-of-the-art assembly facility where defence firm Babcock is building all five ships in the Type 31 Inspiration class.

Maxima wore ears of wheat brooches in her hair and her long emerald/peridot/diamond earrings.

On another note, it's leg day for me and, just like Amalia, I'm gonna practice my curtsies LOL

and i just dont like it as much for the price and i would have to pay the tax myself, not like on Amazon or Etsy where they take care (Include in the price) of the NZ GST for the NZ customer

Queen Margrethe of Denmark celebrated her 84th birthday last week. On the occasion of the birthday, The Danish Royal Court has released new photos of the Queen. Margrethe is a member of the Danish royal family who reigned as Queen of Denmark from 14 January 1972 until her abdication on 14 January 2024. On January 14, in front of a Council of State at Christiansborg Palace, Queen Margrethe signed a Declaration of Abdication. She was succeeded by her elder son, Frederik, as King Frederik X.

Reading the news and found an article about Princess Anne, I love that she recycled her mother’s coat (recently) which ‘was in the hue of Scottish heather’ and suits her beautifully. The article discusses Anne’s royal duties among other topics; a nice read!

One of the reasons why I'm fascinated with royal jewels is because we can track down their movement from one generation to the other and how they've been passed down to loved ones. While most of the royal jewels we discuss here have often been in the same family for generations, sometimes even centuries, the two lovely brooches in the video have taken a rather different path.
Hope you enjoy this snippet from the Antiques Roadshow and the gorgeous Geoffrey Munn!

TIARA ALERT!

Tonight tbe Swedish royals will host a glittering State Banquet for the President and First lady of Finland.
Also, in a couple of weeks the King and Queen of Denmark will visit their Swedish cousins for an introductory visit with another one to Norway following in the middle of next month!

PS: 650 pages of Royal Jewels on Pricescope! That's fascinating!

With the age, quality, provenance, and connection to the Imperial family I would have thought their value much higher.

Finish State Banquet!

i love Princess Christina, i love all the old royal aunties

I do wish our Sophie had a tiara like Princess Sofia, with all those interchangeable toppers
perhaps every bride who marries in who isnt a crown princess/PoW should have one of these
one day the Princess Royal will be one of the old auntues

Something exciting to look forward to tomorrow - the Danish Royal Court has announced that Frederik and Mary's first official (read: gala) portrait will be published tomorrow. It's been mentioned on other sited that the emerald parure has been taken odlit of Rosenborg Castle rescenlty with a note that it's in use by HM the Queen, so I think it's safe to say that Mary will debut the emeralds in this new portrait!

I'm a great Georg Jensen fan and wanted to buy one of their items when I was in Denmark. The prices are astronomical even for simple items, though, and sound judgement finally prevailed...

They are here!
Personally, I would've have worn the necklace over the lace...The tiara looks phenomenal of Mary! And a new emerald ring, too!
Nice to see the new family order and the King with the breast stars of the Elephant and Dannebrog from the Crown Jewels. Still no diamond-set star for the Queen, though :(
