Rookie Alert...I need some help!

Hello Everyone, thanks again for all of your help. I went ahead and contacted Mark from ERD and he said that he will get back to me on Monday. In the meantime, I have been doing a little more searching online and I wanted to see what your thoughts were about a couple of diamonds. I really like the diamond that was posted earlier, but that may be a bit more expensive than I would like.

Here are three diamonds at varying price levels, I am curious as to whether it is worth it to pay more. My main goal is to get a nice looking oval that will look great on a 3.5 mm band. The stone will be set East/West, so that''s why I need the "chunky monkey"! Let me know which diamond will give me the best bang for my buck, keep in mind that the two of us pay $1,000K a month in student loan payments, so money is definitely an issue. I just don''t want to spend too little and have it not be the right diamond.

I should also mention that I don''t plan on buying any of the diamonds that I posted above. I just wanted to see if I have been able to digest all of this great info you guys have provided me with. I think I have learned a thing or two, but not enough to feel comfortable in buying a stone on my own. Hopefully Mark can take care of that for me.

I am not too sure about the strong flouro. in the second diamond. May be okay, may not. Have you seen a diamond with strong flourescence before?

Personlly, I wouldn't look at EGL graded diamonds.

I must say that if your attitude is that your GF doesn't know anything about diamonds so you can go for lower quality, what is the point of researching the best cut or clarity, etc?
