I have this ring that a friend's late father found metal detecting. I'm assuming it is vintage/antique. Is it possible to identify maker or timeframe of this style? Any details at all would be appreciated. Only marks inside say "Princess" and "14k". Looks to be yellow gold but tops of the mounts are white. One center stone and one on each side, approx size 4. I would also love to know value so I may buy it fairly but not sure if that's something that can be provided. Thank you in advance for any info!!

This is a mid-century engagement ring and possibly could have been made by this company. It looks to be a small diamond there, maybe 10 points, the diamonds are usually set into white metal to give them a little oomph. It’s a pretty ring!

Princess is actually the name of the ring not the cut of the diamond. It’s probably a brilliant cut there but impossible to tell without a loupe.

Oh, amazing! Thank you so much for the info dear! Yeah, I had a feeling the mark "Princess" meant a bit more than the cut as I'd never seen a cut style stamped inside a ring before. Thanks again! Hopefully now I can approximate fair value.

You are so welcome. I would start with looking at completed EBay listings to see what these rings are going for, they are usually not expensive. Gold is high now though.

Thank you! That trick is definitely helping with the value range.

I’d call it more 40’s than 50’s. A setting like this is often described as “Art Deco” on eBay and similar sites. Very sweet setting!
